We check the charge and condition of your battery on the spot, so you know whether it has another winter in it or whether it is time for a new one.
Why test
A battery rarely fails without warning. Slow starts, dim lights and a battery warning on the dashboard are signs it is on the way out, and cold mornings often finish it off. A quick test tells you where you stand.
- The engine turns over slowly or clicks.
- Headlights dim at idle, or the dashboard lights flicker.
- The battery is more than three to five years old.
- The car mostly does short journeys.
What happens next
If the battery is healthy, we tell you and leave it alone. If it is weak, we can replace it there and then. If it is flat, a jump start will get you going.
