Privacy policy

How RA Mobile Tyres collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use this website, call, message or email us, or book a job. Last updated 1 November 2026.

Who we are

This website is run by RA Mobile Tyres Ltd, 164 Greenside Lane, Droylsden, Greater Manchester M43 7UR. We are the controller of the personal data described here: we decide why and how it is used.

You can contact us about your data at info@ramobiletyres.co.uk or by post at the address above. We care about your privacy and will only use your data in the ways described here, in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect, and why

We do not ask for sensitive personal data, and we do not knowingly collect data about children.

Contact details
Your name, phone number and email address, when you use the contact form, email us, message us on WhatsApp or call. We use them to reply and to arrange your job.
Job details
Where the vehicle is, its registration number, the tyre size and what has happened, so we can quote, bring the right parts and find you.
Messages
What you write to us, and any photos you send, so we can understand the job and keep a record of what we agreed.
Payment details
This website does not take payments and does not collect card details. If you pay a deposit or pay at the end of a job, we keep a record that you paid, not your card number.
Technical data
Like most websites, the service that hosts this site may record your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. We use it to keep the site running and secure. To count how many people use the site, our server also turns your IP address and browser type, together with a random value that is different every day, into a one-way code. We keep that code and the date, never the IP address, and the code cannot be turned back into your address or matched to the same person on another day. We do this under our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used and improving it.

Our legal basis

  • To do the job you ask for. Contact and job details are needed to quote, book and carry out work, or to take steps you ask for before a contract (contract).
  • To run the business. Keeping records, handling queries and keeping the site secure (legitimate interests).
  • Because the law requires it. Keeping accounting records for tax purposes (legal obligation).
  • With your agreement. Marketing messages, which we only send if you ask us to, and you can withdraw that at any time (consent).

Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. We share it only where we need to:

  • Service providers who help us run the business, such as the hosting service for this site and the contact form, our email and messaging tools (including WhatsApp), and our payment provider if you pay a deposit. They may only use your data to provide that service to us.
  • Authorities, where the law requires it, such as a court order or a legal claim.
  • A buyer, if the business is sold or merged. They would be bound by this policy.

Some providers may handle data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards UK law requires.

How long we keep it

We keep contact details, job and order records, and technical data for as long as we need them for the job, our accounts and any queries afterwards, and for no longer than five years. After that we delete it or make it anonymous.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • be told how your data is used, and ask for a copy of it;
  • have inaccurate data corrected, or have your data deleted;
  • ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our using it;
  • move your data to another provider; and
  • withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on it.

We never make automated decisions about you or profile you. To use any of these rights, write to us using the details above. There is normally no charge. We reply within one month, or tell you if a complex request will take longer.

Cookies

This site does not set cookies or use advertising or tracking tools. Visits are counted on our own server, and nothing is stored on your device for that. Our cookie page explains what the site does store, and why.

Marketing and withholding data

We send marketing only if you have asked for it, and every message tells you how to stop. You can also register with the Telephone Preference Service and Mailing Preference Service to cut unsolicited marketing generally.

You can browse this site without giving us any personal data. If you choose not to give details we need for a job, such as where the vehicle is, we may not be able to carry it out.

Complaints and changes

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

We may update this policy when the law or our business changes. The new version goes on this page with a new date, and continuing to use the site means you accept it.
